Stay Connected

Real people come first. Good decisions start with listening, not assumptions.

What this looks like:

• Be present, approachable, and curious.

• Listen to understand before sharing your view.

• Speak about real people and real experiences.

• Stay respectful, especially when you disagree.

Amplify Voices

People deserve influence, not just an audience.

What this looks like:
Make space for everyone to contribute, not just the loudest voices.

• Ask questions and share what you hear with the team.

• Never speak over people or assume their experience.

• Help community concerns reach the places where decisions are made.

Choose Courage

Do what's right, not what's easy or popular.

What this looks like:

• Be honest, direct, and respectful.

• Address difficult issues without avoiding them. Seek help if needed.

• Focus on facts and community interests, not political point-scoring.

• Stand by our values, even when conversations are challenging.

Follow Through

Trust is built when we do what we say we will do.

What this looks like:

• Keep your commitments, big and small.

• If you don't know the answer, say so and find out.

• Record concerns and ensure they reach the right people.

• Always close the loop with community members when possible.

Build Better

We believe our community deserves more — and we work together to make it happen.

What this looks like:

• Focus on solutions, not just problems.

• Bring optimism and practical ideas to every conversation.

• Encourage ambition grounded in real action.

• Leave people feeling hopeful, included, and empowered.

The Volunteer Test

Before you post, speak, or act, ask yourself:

1. Am I staying connected to real people's experiences?

2. Am I amplifying community voices?

3. Am I choosing courage over convenience?

4. Am I following through on my commitments?

5. Am I helping build a better future?

If the answer is yes to all five, you're representing this campaign well.
